Microsoft Defender for Business 

This is Microsoft Defender specifically for organisations under 300 users and in May 2022, this was made available as a standalone product for approx. £3 per user

Retirement of 24/7 Problem Resolution Support

Microsoft announce that they will fully retire the 24×7 Problem Resolution Support SA benefit effective 1 February, 2023. Customers will now require a Microsoft Unified Support contract for direct Microsoft professional support

System Centre 2022

For those that missed it, Microsoft announced the general availability of System Centre 2022 in April. The licensing has not changed.

Non-Profit Price Increase

Following the price increases for commercial customers, Microsoft announced a price increase for non-profit customers in September 2022. The increases are on the same products and same level as the commercial increases in March 2022. For clarity, this breaks down as:
•    Office 365 E1 (up to £2.50 from £2)
•    Office 365 E3 (up to £5.75 from £4.50)
•    Office 365 E5 (up to £15.20 from £14)
•    Microsoft 365 E3 (up to £9 from £8)
•    Microsoft 365 Business Premium (up to £5.50 from £5)

Home Use Program

The Home Use Programme is now live and it is an employee purchase programme for Microsoft’s valued customers. It offers selected Microsoft 365 Family and Personal subscriptions and Surface devices and accessories at a discounted rate through your company.

Technical Deep Dive Into Automation
