Microsoft has recently unveiled an exciting update in its repertoire with the renaming of Bing Chat Enterprise to the more streamlined “Co-Pilot.” This hotly anticipated tool, now known as Microsoft 365 Copilot, has been made generally available starting November 1st, albeit exclusively for EA (Enterprise Agreement) customers who can access its functionalities at a reasonable cost of $30 per user per month.
As anticipation builds, users are eagerly awaiting further announcements from Microsoft regarding the potential availability of Co-Pilot via CSP (Cloud Solution Provider).
USD FX Rate Alignment
In a move to streamline global transactions and enhance clarity, Microsoft has executed a significant USD FX Rate Alignment. This alignment, implemented in February, supports local currencies with the US dollar, providing a consistent and standardised framework. It’s worth noting that the GBP remains unaffected by this pricing alignment, offering stability to users in the UK. However, for several countries, including Brazil, China, India, Taiwan, Japan, Norway, and Sweden, the alignment has notable implications on pricing.
CSP Legacy Renewals
An essential update for users under the CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) umbrella is the automatic renewal of Legacy CSP subscriptions. Starting from October 1st, 2024, all Legacy CSP subscriptions will migrate over to Annual Commit NCE (New Commerce Experience) subscriptions. This renewal process aims to ensure a hassle-free continuation of services for users, eliminating the need for manual renewals.
Public Sector NCE Delayed
For users within the public sector, including those in Charity, Education, and Government entities, there’s a slight delay in the anticipated release of the NCE offers. Originally expected earlier, the Public Sector NCE has been pushed back to July 2024.
