Changes to From SA Licenses
The “From SA” discount from Microsoft, which facilitated the transition from on-premises software assurance to cloud subscriptions, has been discontinued for new customers effective February 1, 2024. Existing customers with From SA licences can continue to renew, but no new licences can be purchased.
Microsoft Mesh: Now Generally Available
Microsoft Mesh, enabling users to join Teams meetings as avatars in 3D space, is now generally available. This feature is accessible to users with Microsoft 365 Business Basic/Standard/Premium, Microsoft 365 E3/E5, or Office 365 E1/E3/E5 licences. Exchange Server 2019 CUs and End of Mainstream Support
Exchange Server 2019 reached end of Mainstream Support on January 9, 2024. Although non-security updates are no longer expected, two more Cumulative Updates are planned.

GitHub Copilot: Enhanced Data Handling
GitHub Copilot’s data handling has been updated to prioritize security and transparency. While prompts are encrypted and deleted after use, certain scenarios may require data storage, such as custom private language models or third-party extensions.
Dynamics 365 Finance Premium Application Update
The Finance Premium application now requires a 10-license minimum, no longer allowing mixing and matching with the standard Finance app. This update aims to streamline licensing requirements.
Microsoft Teams Phone: New License for Frontline Workers
Microsoft has introduced a new license for Microsoft Teams Phone Standard tailored for Frontline workers. This license requires an O365 F3, M365 F1, or M365 F3 license as a base.

Microsoft Frontline Workers: Latest Updates on Licensing
Microsoft now offers individual component licenses for the M365 F5 Security Suite, catering to specific functions for eligible users. Additionally, Intune Frontline and Intune Cloud PKI have been added to enhance functionality and security for frontline workers.
