Price Increases for Core CAL & ECAL Suites delayed
The price increases for the Core CAL Suite and Enterprise CAL Suite will now take effect on August 1st, 2025, instead of July 1st , as originally announced. Standalone server product pricing changes will still take effect on July 1st, 2025.
Copilot Studio Agent Estimator
Microsoft has introduced a new Copilot Studio Agent Usage Estimator. Agent usage is measured in messages, and the number of messages consumed varies depending on the complexity of the query—the more effort the Agent needs to generate a response, the higher the message cost.

SQL Server 2025 – Now Available in Public Preview
Microsoft announce that SQL Server 2025 is now in public preview, there are no changes with how the product is licensed.
With SQL Server 2025, there will not be a new version of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Instead, Power BI Report Server will be the default – offering new features including PBIX reports, data modelling, and custom visuals.

Microsoft announce new cloud options for Europe
There is an increasing push back from European organisations, particularly Government, against so many critical services and so much data all being run out of the US.
Microsoft Sovereign Cloud for Europe:
- New Solutions: Data Guardian, External Key Management, Regulated Environment Management.
- Cloud Options: Sovereign Public Cloud (data stays in Europe), Sovereign Private Cloud (critical workloads on Azure Local).
- National Partnerships: Agreements with Bleu (France) and Delos Cloud (Germany).
- Microsoft 365 Local: Productivity services in private cloud environments.
- Partner Ecosystem: New specialization in the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program.
These initiatives enhance control, compliance, and digital resilience for European customers.
